Gents Today I had the dubious honor of meeting Master BTTF Prop Builder Bruce Columbe. What a gentleman. We met at Skycraft Surplus Electrical in Orlando. Gator & Mickey Capitol of the World. Two million gators and growing. What a cool place. I need to go back as soon as possible. They even had a Flying Saucer on the roof.
The only thing that could have made the meeting better would have been A B9 greeting me at the door.
Oh ya! We had lunch at a pseudo Hooters. So the atmosphere was excellent.

Did you find anything useful at Skycraft?

Charles Yes. I am going back. A small capacitor @ 2 bucks, the 45's for my three 30 amp terminals 2 bucks. Most of the auto wire for the car build except the twisted wire rolls that's next trip, 2 Amphenols @ 2 bucks. Bruce picked up my EL wire and built the kit from parts he purchased there including tubbing, end cap clamps, fittings and control box. I plan on getting the last bits that I need there also. SS Screws. terminal connectors etc.
I really need to spend a day there by myself lurking in the shadows. Shoot they even have aluminum scrap.
Just another thought in time! Ed

Ed, it was great having you over to my home and workshop. You are always welcomed. How'd you like R.J. Gators? Next time your down I'll have to take you to the Black Hammock Rest. for some great Gator Tail nuggets.
Thanks for all the cool stuff. Anytime you find other parts to barter, drop me an email.
You really do need to get over to Skycraft by yourself. I go there about once a week and each time I'm there, I spend about two hours min. I forgot to tell you when you were here. That T-shirt I was wearing of Skycraft, I designed that for them. Skycraft held a "design our T-shirt" contest and my design won. The prize was $200.00 store credit. I spent that credit in one visit.
You need to share with the gang here what you are doing with your BTTF props. I think it will look so cool when the FX is fired up.
Alright, time I get back to working on my BTTF orders.

Well Ed, Tomorrow (Saturday) will be your third visit to gator country, my home and my workshop. Hope your Delorean is up to it. The first priority is to troubleshoot your electrical aux power. Can't wait to install the alarm system and some of the replicas. You do realize that I'm putting you to work as well. No standing around supervising. You're gonna have to turn a wrench and get dirty. You won't have time to visit Skycraft. You'll have to plan to take that in on your next visit.
Are you bringing me anymore parts or stuff to enhance/upgrade? If yes, and the rest of your stuff is in the same condition, then this time it is really gonna cost you. I might as well built your parts from scratch for you. Just kidding, you know I'm happy to help you out whenever I can. Just get your big butt down here safely and we'll make that "D" shine.
See ya tomorrow. Drive safely and don't forget the donuts !

Well the Delorean is almost ready for her trip to the Magic Kingdom. The thing that kills me about this car is the way something goes wrong every time I get into it. Shoot me! About a year ago I was taking it for its bimonthly outing and all of a sudden “No Breaks”. Wow! That cost me 50 bucks. One of the calipers had stuck and heated the brake fluid, the brake fluid vaporized and there you go. “No Brakes.” Well it survived, we survived. Needless to say that was the last time any one in the family went with me for a drive. What's interesting to note is that this has never happened again. We'll see how she does going to Orlando. It’s about 2 & ½ hours. At least I can now open the door. For the first year I owned the car the driver’s side door has been broken. Having to have your wife open the door every time you get in a car is a great way to prolong your marriage. “Tiger” thinks he’s in some shit. Who knows maybe one day I’ll get a second mortgage and have the D towed the 600 miles to DMC.
I brought plenty to keep me busy. I have been buying parts for this car for two years. I was hoping you would give me a few tips on using my new volt meter!
Can’t wait to see the Magic Workshop again. Bruce, Walt Disney would be very proud.
Just another thought in time! Eel

Well Ed, Here we go again, about your trip......
Right now it is raining and has been since 5:30 am and the temp is 62 degrees. I just turned off the TV local news and the forecast for Oviedo and the surrounding Orlando areas is 90% chance of all day rain with a high temp of 65 degrees. Are you sure you want to make the trip in those conditions? I hate to see you driving 2.5 hours in raining road conditions with an untested "D".
Let me know. I do not mind postponing for another weekend. I have plenty of BTTF orders to work on. I had to hire some help just to keep me on schedule with all these orders.
You mentioned several times that the outside of my home's backyard reminds you of WDW. I told this to my wife and we took a step back and looked at our backyard with all the different level wooden decks, boardwalks, the dry river bed, trees, outhouse, fire pit, water tower, rail fencing, olde time lamp post and Moose Creek Trading Post and you're right, it does look like something out of WDWs' Frontier Land or Fort Wilderness.
Have your people email my people to negotiate a new schedule. Sorry, But, it is better then ice cold snow, right !
Later - Bruce

Ed,
I am having trouble with my email. My Road Runner account is down. We'll use this site until I get it back up and running.
As for the Grimes lights you need, no problem. We can work a deal on either two authentic ones or I can save you a few bucks with my fabricated ones. I must say, my fabricated ones came out great!! I can't email you pics yet but I'll list one on ebay and you can decide.
Also, I'll get you the prices on my Vent set, Flux Boxes and Mr. Fusion. Just give me a week. I am swamped right now with Michael's Delorean.
Instead of answering here, give me a call this weekend and I'll explain all.

Ed, Just curious how the work on your Delorean is progressing at DMC Fort Myers?
I have finally completed my work on Steve's and Michael's Delorean conversions. Man, this cold weather we had really made a few issues I wasn't expecting. Now I understand why the guys in the northern states don't work on their D's in the winter.
